Renovating a former retail space into a well-known regional pet supply store required more than just a quick coat of paint.
Chow Hound Pet Supply already had several established stores across Michigan and Ohio and chose to expand into Indiana in 2021. A location within a popular shopping plaza, anchored by Kroger and Dunham's Sports, was selected in Auburn, Indiana; however, the space required extensive work to achieve the playful atmosphere of their other locations.
The former retail space essentially needed an entire remodel, from walls, lighting, floor, fixtures, and ceiling. But, because Chow Hound is also a pet spa with dog wash and grooming stations, new plumbing, HVAC, and exhaust systems needed to be installed and made compliant.
The result is a bright, cheerful shop that carries everything from clothing and accessories to grooming tools and toys for your pets. Their shelves are stocked with both premium and budget-friendly options, ensuring every pet owner can find the perfect fit for their furry family member.
